This Xeriscape yard was featured on the Long Beach Water Conservation website because it takes very little water to maintain.  The City of Long Beach Water Department is using photos of this yard for its landscape design class, as a model of beauty with environmental responsibility. In keeping with the Craftsman style of the home, Eden used California native plants; we also brought in boulders and used decomposed granite for the walkway.  The tall, cactus-like plant is a rare Madagascar Ocotillo.
